Del’s Popcorn Shop is proud to share another heartwarming success story from our fundraising family. This time, the spotlight is on the talented group behind the Mt. Zion High School Band Boosters. Together, we hit a sweet milestone, raising $575.29 through popcorn sales that totaled $1,150.59.
Mt. Zion High School Band Boosters
The Mt. Zion High School Band Boosters play a huge role in keeping music alive across the district. They work year-round to support students and directors at the Intermediate, Junior High, and High School levels. From instruments to travel and performance expenses, their dedication helps every student in the Mt. Zion band program grow as musicians and teammates.
This fundraiser was more than just popcorn and caramel. It was about helping young performers take their music beyond the classroom. The funds raised will go toward the band’s Spring trip to New Orleans, a special experience that gives students the chance to perform, learn, and connect with the culture and music of one of America’s most iconic cities.
Ellie Gross, Del’s national sales manager, shared her thoughts on the partnership:
“The Mt. Zion High School Band Boosters are the kind of group we love working with. They put their hearts into everything they do, and it shows. We’re so proud to help them reach their goals and bring their plans to life.”

Del’s Popcorn Shop has been part of Central Illinois since the days after the Great Depression, bringing smiles (and popcorn) to generations of families. What started as a small popcorn and candy venture by John Baldwin in Springfield, Illinois, has grown into a beloved name across the country.
Today, Del’s offers a wide variety of handmade treats including cheddar cheese popcorn, caramel corn, peanut brittle, fudge, caramel apples, and more. Every batch is made from scratch with the same care and attention that’s kept Del’s a community favorite for decades.
Beyond great snacks, Del’s is passionate about giving back. Our Virtual Popcorn Fundraising program has helped schools, clubs, and nonprofits raise money in a fun and simple way. Seeing groups like the Mt. Zion Band Boosters succeed reminds us why we do what we do.
