Mount Zion, IL – 1/29/2025 – Del’s Popcorn Shop (“Del’s” or “Company”) is thrilled to market another victory for a fantastic local organization. We successfully raised over $515 for the Montessori Academy for Peace Music Department which will be used for buying new music, new instruments, and to go on field trips!

“The Montessori Academy for Peace Music Department is a great example of a worthy cause. They met all the criteria for us as a long-term community partner.” Explained Ellie Gross, the Del’s national sales manager. “We love these local schools, and we love these kids. We are so happy we can play a part in their story.”

Montessori Academy for Peace Music Department. Montessori Academy for Peace is a Pre-K-8 magnet school in the Decatur Public School District. Our music program is constantly growing, and students have the opportunity to perform in bands, choir, and orchestra. With growing programs comes growing needs and bigger performance opportunities, but we need your help to provide more materials and opportunities to our students!

Del’s Popcorn Shop. Del’s is a gourmet retail popcorn and confectionary based in Springfield, IL. Del’s was stitched into the fabric of Central Illinois at a time after the Great Depression and before World War II. The ingredients and approach to creation is reminiscent of a bygone era. At a time when bootstrapping the American Dream was very much in bloom, an entrepreneur by the name of John Baldwin began to sell popcorn and candy from his print shop. Del’s have been serving the Central Illinois community ever since. Del’s has an extensive menu of cooked-from-scratch popcorn and confectionery products including seasoned popcorn, cheddar cheese popcorn, caramel corn, fudge, peanut brittle, and caramel apples. The Company has a devoted customer base of all ages which span generations. In recent years, Del’s has expanded to offer its favorite products nationwide at www.delspopcornshop.com. Del’s has also become a go-to option for non-profits, schools, and other community organizations to raise money through Del’s Virtual Popcorn Fundraising platform.
