Mt. Zion, IL – 6/3/2025 – We’re excited to share another great fundraising success at Del’s Popcorn Shop, this time in partnership with an inspiring local youth organization. Together with the J.R. Gorin Chapter of DeMolay, we helped raise $69.99 through popcorn sales, totaling $139.97. Every dollar supports their mission to build leadership and community values in young men.

This wasn’t just about selling snacks. It was about helping a group of future leaders make their way to the Illinois DeMolay State Convention this July - an important event that gives these young men the opportunity to connect, grow, and represent their chapter on a bigger stage.

“The J.R. Gorin Chapter is a great example of a cause we’re proud to support,” said Ellie Gross, Del’s National Sales Manager. “They’re teaching real leadership to the next generation, and we’re just happy to help them get where they need to go.”

J.R. Gorin Chapter of DeMolay

Based in Decatur, the Jerome R. Gorin Chapter of DeMolay is part of the International Order of DeMolay, a Masonic youth organization for young men ages 12 to 21. Their focus is on developing leadership, character, and civic responsibility - all through real-world experiences and brotherhood. The funds raised during this campaign will directly support their travel and participation in the upcoming State Convention, a key milestone in their yearly activities.

Del’s Popcorn Shop has been a Central Illinois staple since 1934. What started as a small popcorn and candy counter in a print shop has become a beloved popcorn and confectionery brand that serves customers both locally and across the country. Known for its handcrafted snacks, from cheddar popcorn to creamy fudge and caramel apples, Del’s continues to bring families together through tradition and taste. Today, Del’s also helps schools, teams, and organizations across the U.S. raise funds through our Virtual Popcorn Fundraising Program.
