Argenta-Oreana Fishing Team’s Fundraiser with Del’s

Mt. Zion, IL – 5/11/2025

We’re excited to share a sweet success story from one of our recent fundraisers! The Argenta-Oreana High School Fishing Team teamed up with Del’s Popcorn Shop to raise money for their season, and the results were reel-y impressive. Together, we brought in $275.91 in total sales, with $137.96 going straight to the team to help cover costs like entry fees, jerseys, gas, and equipment.

“It’s always exciting to work with groups that have a clear goal and a strong sense of community,” said Ellie Gross, our national sales manager. “These students are passionate about what they do, and we’re proud to support that.”

The Argenta-Oreana Fishing Team is made up of high school students in grades 9 through 12 who share a love for fishing, the outdoors, and good sportsmanship. Whether they’re casting lines in competitions or learning the ropes of teamwork, they’re all about representing their school with pride and having fun on the water. Fundraisers like this one help make sure every student has the gear and support they need to compete and grow.

Del’s Popcorn Shop

Since opening in Springfield, IL in 1934, Del’s Popcorn Shop has been crafting handmade popcorn and sweet treats that bring people together. What started as a local shop has grown into a nationwide favorite, offering everything from cheddar cheese popcorn to old-fashioned fudge, all made from scratch. Today, we also help schools, teams, and nonprofits reach their goals with easy, online fundraising programs that anyone can join.
