Mt. Zion – 9/27/2025
At Del’s Popcorn Shop, we love seeing local groups come together to make a difference. Recently, the Coalition of Rainbow Alliance (CORAL) partnered with us for a fundraiser, and the results were nothing short of inspiring. With total sales of $309.85, CORAL raised $154.93 to support their work in the LGBTQ community.
This event wasn’t just about popcorn. It was about people giving back, and a community showing up to make sure every voice is seen and heard.
Coalition of Rainbow Alliance
Founded in 2000, CORAL has been a safe and welcoming space for Central Illinois’ LGBTQIA communities, as well as other sexual and gender minorities, their families, and allies. The group is powered by volunteers who dedicate their time to creating visibility, advocating for equality, and building stronger connections across the region.
Funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward CORAL’s efforts to strengthen and support the LGBTQ community. That means more opportunities for connection, advocacy, and building the kind of inclusive spaces that matter most.
Del’s Popcorn Shop
Del’s has been part of Central Illinois for generations, starting back when John Baldwin first sold popcorn and candy from his print shop in Springfield. Since then, our kitchen has grown to include everything from caramel corn and cheddar cheese popcorn to fudge, brittle, and caramel apples.
While we love seeing families enjoy our treats, we’re just as proud to be a trusted partner for schools, nonprofits, and community organizations. Through our Virtual Popcorn Fundraising program, groups like CORAL can rally support while sharing our handcrafted favorites.
We’re grateful to CORAL for teaming up with us and to the Mt. Zion community for showing their support.
