Del’s Popcorn Shop is celebrating another successful fundraiser, this time with the City of Macon Christmas Tree Lighting committee. Together, we raised a total of $443.77, bringing in $221.88 to help make this year’s holiday celebration even more special for the community.

The Christmas Tree Lighting committee has a simple goal: to make the season brighter for everyone in Macon. Each year, they work hard to bring people together for a night of lights, laughter, and community spirit. Their ongoing efforts focus on improving the event experience and finding new ways to get more families involved.
The funds raised through this popcorn fundraiser will go directly toward providing entertainment and creating an affordable, family-friendly experience for everyone who attends. It’s all about making sure no one misses out on the magic of the holidays.
Del's Popcorn Shop
Del’s Popcorn Shop has been part of Illinois life for decades. What started in Springfield back in the days between the Great Depression and World War II has grown into a well-loved tradition across Central Illinois and beyond. Founder John Baldwin first popped and sold popcorn and candy right out of his print shop, and that same small-town care still shapes every batch we make today.
From classic caramel corn and cheddar cheese popcorn to fudge, peanut brittle, and caramel apples, Del’s continues to make everything from scratch. Generations of families have grown up enjoying our treats, and now, thanks to our online shop, people all over the country can order their favorites.
We’re also proud to help schools, community groups, and nonprofits raise money through our Virtual Popcorn Fundraising Program. Working with organizations like the City of Macon Christmas Tree Lighting reminds us how small acts - like selling popcorn - can make a big difference in local communities.
