Springfield, IL – 11/1/2024 – Del’s Popcorn Shop (“Del’s” or “Company”) is thrilled to market another victory for a fantastic local organization. We successfully raised over $170 for Normal West High School’s Junior Class which will be used for the class of 2026 throughout their high school experience, from lowering the cost of prom for students and their families to other school activities.

“The Junior Class at Normal West High School is a great example of a worthy cause. They met all of the criteria for us as a long-term community partner.” Explained Ellie Gross, the Del’s national sales manager. “We love working with local schools for a good cause. We are so happy we can play a part in their story.”

Normal West High School. Normal West High School, home of the Wildcats, are in Normal, Illinois located in McLean County. Being a public school that opened in 1995, Normal West High School has a student body around 1,600 students. Their mission statement: To achieve personal excellence we: Engage in Learning, Accomplish Goals, Build Relationships, Develop Citizenship. “Together we Succeed”.

Del’s Popcorn Shop. Del’s is a gourmet retail popcorn and confectionary based in Springfield, IL. Del’s was stitched into the fabric of Central Illinois at a time after the Great Depression and before World War II. The ingredients and approach to creation is reminiscent of a bygone era. At a time when bootstrapping the American Dream was very much in bloom, an entrepreneur by the name of John Baldwin began to sell popcorn and candy from his print shop. Del’s have been serving the Central Illinois community ever since. Del’s has an extensive menu of cooked-from-scratch popcorn and confectionery products including seasoned popcorn, cheddar cheese popcorn, caramel corn, fudge, peanut brittle, and caramel apples.
