Springfield, IL – 11/21/2024 – Del’s Popcorn Shop (“Del’s” or “Company”) is thrilled to market another victory for a fantastic local organization. We successfully raised over $800 for the South Fork School District which will be donated directly back to the school.
“The South Fork School District is a great example of a worthy cause. They met all the criteria for us as a long-term community partner.” Explained Ellie Gross, the Del’s national sales manager. “We understand the value and great impact it makes when we support our local students and schools. We want these kids to get the most out of their educational experience and are thrilled we can be part of making it great.”
South Fork School District. South Fork School District is in Christian County, Illinois. The school is built of residents from Kincaid, Tovey, Bulpitt, and Jeisyville. Also serving many rural residents and farmers as it is made up of students within a 75-mile radius. The school district is in Kincaid, IL. Go Ponies!
Del’s Popcorn Shop. Del’s is a gourmet retail popcorn and confectionary based in Springfield, IL. Del’s was stitched into the fabric of Central Illinois at a time after the Great Depression and before World War II. The ingredients and approach to creation is reminiscent of a bygone era. At a time when bootstrapping the American Dream was very much in bloom, an entrepreneur by the name of John Baldwin began to sell popcorn and candy from his print shop. Del’s have been serving the Central Illinois community ever since.
